Overview:

History BA (Hons) at the University of Sheffield introduces students to the study of societies, events, ideas and experiences across time. The course develops an informed understanding of the past while encouraging students to question evidence, interpret different perspectives and construct well-supported historical arguments.

Learning Outcomes:

Students will also be able to formulate focused historical questions, analyse material systematically and use evidence to develop coherent conclusions. The course supports clear communication of historical ideas in written and other appropriate forms, with arguments structured around relevant evidence and reasoned interpretation.
