Overview:
The BEng (Hons) Computer Science and Electronic Engineering combines two complementary areas of technology: the development of software and computational systems alongside the design and operation of electronic technologies. At the University of Liverpool, the course provides an integrated understanding of how digital technologies are created, controlled, and applied to complex engineering problems.

Learning Outcomes:
On completion, students will be able to analyse computing and electronic engineering problems using appropriate mathematical, computational, and engineering principles. They will be able to design and implement software and digital systems, assess different technical approaches, and apply suitable methods to test and refine their solutions. Students will also understand how hardware and software interact within modern technological systems and be able to consider factors such as efficiency, reliability, and system performance. The course develops the ability to undertake independent technical investigation, manage a substantial project, interpret complex information, and communicate findings effectively. Students will therefore gain an interdisciplinary foundation for understanding and developing integrated computing and electronic technologies.
