Overview

The BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) at Swansea University develops the knowledge, clinical skills and professional values required to provide safe and compassionate care for adults. The course combines nursing theory, evidence-based practice and practical learning to help students understand health, illness and the wider factors that influence patient well being.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to assess the health and care needs of adults and apply appropriate knowledge to plan, provide and evaluate person-centered nursing care. They will understand the physical, psychological and social dimensions of health and recognize how these factors can influence patient experiences and outcomes. Students will develop clinical reasoning, communication and decision-making skills while working effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams. They will also be able to use research evidence to inform practice, reflect critically on their professional development and demonstrate awareness of ethical, legal and professional responsibilities. The course supports a holistic and evidence-informed approach to adult nursing, with emphasis on safe, respectful and effective patient care.

Requirements

Kuwait : Completion of Secondary School Certificate with 60% overall including 60% in Mathematics and 4 other academic subjects
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 5.5 with no band below 5.0 (or approved SELT equivalent).
