Overview

The BSc (Hons) Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) at the University of Plymouth combines core computing with the development and evaluation of intelligent technologies. The course explores programming, algorithms, data management and software development alongside artificial intelligence and machine learning, helping students understand how computational systems can address complex problems.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to apply programming, algorithms and mathematical concepts to develop computational solutions. They will understand how artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques can be used to process information, identify patterns and address complex problems. Students will develop the ability to design, implement and evaluate software and intelligent systems while analysing their technical effectiveness. They will also be able to work with data, assess AI approaches critically and consider relevant ethical and societal issues. Through individual and collaborative projects, students will strengthen their problem-solving, research and communication skills and learn to present technical findings clearly and systematically.

Requirements

Kuwait: Completion of High School / Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-A'ama (General Secondary Education Certificate) with a minimum overall average of 60%, including 70% in Biology and Mathematics.
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 5.5 with no band below 5.5 (or approved SELT equivalent).
