Overview
The BSc (Hons) Data Science develops the mathematical, computational, and analytical knowledge needed to work with data and extract meaningful insights. Students learn how data is collected, processed, analysed, and interpreted, while developing systematic approaches to solving problems with evidence and computational techniques.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be able to apply statistical, mathematical, and computational methods to investigate data-driven problems. They will be able to prepare and manage datasets, select appropriate analytical techniques, and interpret results in a meaningful context. Students will develop programming skills for processing and analysing data and will be able to use visualisation methods to communicate patterns, relationships, and findings clearly. They will also understand key approaches to machine learning and statistical modelling and be able to evaluate the strengths and limitations of different methods. The course will strengthen critical thinking, research, problem-solving, and communication skills, enabling students to assess data and analytical evidence systematically while recognising relevant ethical and contextual considerations.
