Learning Outcomes
By the end of the foundation year, students will have developed the scientific literacy and study skills required to progress confidently into the first year of the BSc (Hons) Food Science and Nutrition degree. They will be able to apply basic scientific concepts relevant to food and nutrition, engage with degree-level coursework and practical work, and approach academic tasks with greater independence. This preparation equips students with the knowledge base and confidence to move forward into either of the degree's specialist pathways, Human Nutrition or Quality, Safety and Innovation, as they continue their studies.
