Overview

The BSc (Hons) Nursing - Mental Health course develops the knowledge, clinical skills, and professional values required to support people experiencing mental health challenges. Students explore psychological, physical, social, and environmental influences on wellbeing while learning how to provide safe, compassionate, person-centred nursing care.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to assess mental health needs and apply clinical reasoning when planning and delivering appropriate nursing care. They will be able to establish effective therapeutic relationships, communicate sensitively with individuals and those supporting them, and contribute to care that respects dignity, choice, and individual circumstances. Students will also develop the ability to use evidence to inform practice, recognise safeguarding concerns, evaluate care, reflect critically on their professional development, and apply relevant ethical, legal, and professional principles to mental health nursing.

Requirements

Kuwait: Completion of High School / Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-A'ama (General Secondary Education Certificate) with a minimum overall average of 60%.
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 5.5 with no band below 5.5(or approved SELT equivalent) or PTE with 59 overall and no component lower than 59.
