Overview
The BSc (Hons) Pharmacology course explores how medicines and other biologically active substances interact with the human body. Students develop an understanding of the scientific principles behind drug action, therapeutic effects, and adverse responses, combining knowledge from areas such as biology, chemistry, physiology, and biomedical science.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be able to explain the mechanisms through which drugs affect biological systems and evaluate factors that influence their effectiveness and safety. They will be able to interpret pharmacological data, apply appropriate scientific methods, and assess experimental findings using evidence-based reasoning. Students will also develop the ability to discuss drug actions within relevant biological and clinical contexts, analyse scientific information critically, and communicate pharmacological concepts and research findings clearly.
