Overview:

The BSc (Hons) Sport & Exercise Science introduces the scientific study of physical activity, exercise and sporting performance. Located within the School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health at the University of Glasgow, the course connects sport and exercise with wider scientific and health-related principles, providing a foundation for understanding how the body responds to physical activity.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course, students will be able to explain fundamental scientific ideas associated with sport and exercise and describe their relevance to human health and physical performance. They will develop an understanding of how exercise relates to cardiovascular and metabolic function and how scientific perspectives can be used to examine sporting and exercise-related questions. Students will also be able to connect concepts from sport and exercise science with wider themes in the health sciences, supporting a more integrated understanding of the subject. The course provides a basis for interpreting sport and exercise through scientific principles and for recognising the contribution of scientific knowledge to health and physical activity.

Requirements

Kuwait: Completion of High School / Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-A'ama (General Secondary Education Certificate) with a minimum overall average of 80%.
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 5.5 with no band below 4.5 (or approved SELT equivalent).
