Our LLB (Hons) Law degree provides you with essential training needed for a career in a legal profession, such as a solicitor or barrister.
On our LLB (Hons) Law course you'll learn how law works in practice and gain hands-on experience through mooting, mediation, negotiation and arbitration. You’ll explore key topics including criminal law, the English legal system, consumer and commercial law, international and European law, land law and more.
You’ll also have a range of module options to choose from to help tailor your studies. These range from family law, medicine law and company law to international humanitarian criminal law, human rights and responsibilities, and human trafficking.
We focus on preparing you for the real world, with practical training in our state-of-the-art moot court room, where you’ll present cases and take part in trials. Our teaching team includes former barristers, solicitors and legal professionals, and we have strong links with top law firms like Brabners, Harrison Drury, Forbes, and Napthens Solicitors.
Whether you want to become a solicitor, barrister, or work in other areas like the police, businesses, the probation service, or the civil service, our law degree gives you the skills and experience employers are looking for. You’ll also get opportunities to shadow a judge and work on real cases in our Lancashire Law Centre, making you stand out from the crowd.
