Course Description

Overview:

The MA (Hons) History of Art introduces students to the study of art, visual culture, and their relationships with wider historical and social contexts. As part of the School of Culture and Creative Arts at the University of Glasgow, the course develops a foundation for understanding how artworks and visual practices reflect ideas, cultures, and human experience.

Learning Outcomes:

Students will also gain a deeper understanding of how the study of art contributes to wider knowledge of society, culture, and human nature, while building transferable analytical and research skills relevant to study within the social sciences and humanities.

Requirements

Kuwait: Completion of High School / Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-A'ama (General Secondary Education Certificate) with a minimum overall average of 80%.
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 5.5 with no band below 4.5 (or approved SELT equivalent).
