Overview
The BNurs (Hons) Nursing (Adult) focuses on the knowledge, skills, and professional principles required to support adults across a range of health and care needs. Students develop an understanding of human health, illness, assessment, and nursing practice while learning to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-informed care.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be able to demonstrate an informed understanding of adult health and the principles underpinning safe and effective nursing care. They will be able to assess individual needs, contribute to appropriate care planning, and evaluate responses to care and treatment. Students will understand how physical, psychological, social, and other factors can influence health and wellbeing and will be able to use evidence to inform nursing decisions. They will develop effective communication skills for working with individuals, families, and professional teams while recognising the importance of dignity, equality, confidentiality, and person-centred care. The course will also strengthen students’ ability to reflect on practice, assess information critically, and apply professional, ethical, and legal principles when responding to the changing needs of adults.
