Overview

The LLB (Hons) Law develops a broad understanding of legal principles, institutions, and processes and examines how law operates within society. Students explore key areas of law while building the analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities needed to interpret legal rules and construct well-supported arguments.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to explain key legal principles and apply relevant rules to legal problems and factual situations. They will be able to identify appropriate legal authorities, interpret legislation and case law, and assess how different sources contribute to legal reasoning. Students will develop the ability to research legal questions systematically, evaluate competing arguments, and reach reasoned conclusions based on relevant evidence and authority. They will also be able to communicate legal analysis clearly in written and oral forms, recognising the importance of precision and logical structure. The course will provide a strong foundation for understanding how legal rules are developed, interpreted, applied, and challenged within broader social and institutional contexts.

Requirements

Kuwait: Completion of High School / Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-A'ama (General Secondary Education Certificate) with a minimum overall average of 80%.
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 5.5 with no band below 5.0(or approved SELT equivalent).
