Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be able to analyze literary and linguistic materials using appropriate critical and theoretical approaches. They will understand how texts are shaped by their historical, cultural, and social contexts and how language can influence meaning, identity, and communication. Students will develop the ability to construct detailed interpretations, compare different texts and perspectives, and support their arguments with relevant evidence. They will also be able to undertake independent research, evaluate sources critically, and communicate complex ideas clearly in written and spoken forms. Through sustained engagement with literature and language, the course will strengthen students' analytical, interpretive, research, and communication abilities while encouraging them to approach English from diverse perspectives.
