Course Description

Overview

Navigating complex healthcare systems and addressing health inequities requires a multifaceted understanding of human biology, behavioral factors, and health policy. Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (Health) at The University of Sydney examine the biological, social, and environmental determinants that shape individual and population health outcomes. The degree structure integrates foundational scientific principles with a specialized health major, allowing learners to tailor their academic pathway to specific health disciplines. The curriculum draws expertise from the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Medicine and Health, providing access to contemporary research in public health, digital health, and health policy. Practical project units and interdisciplinary learning opportunities bridge scientific concepts with real-world health challenges.
