Course Description

Overview

The BDS Dentistry course develops the scientific knowledge, clinical understanding and practical skills required to study oral health and dental care. Students explore the structure and function of the mouth, the causes and prevention of oral disease, and the principles involved in assessing and managing patients.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to apply scientific knowledge to understand normal oral function and recognise changes associated with disease. They will develop the ability to assess patients, interpret relevant clinical information and use appropriate reasoning when considering dental conditions and treatment. Students will also understand principles of prevention and oral health promotion, while developing practical and professional skills for safe, ethical and patient-focused dental practice.

Requirements

Kuwait: Completion of High School / Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-A'ama (General Secondary Education Certificate) with a minimum overall average of 85% in your final year and 80% in Biology and Chemistry in your final year.
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with no band below 5.5(or approved SELT equivalent).
