Overview

Artificial intelligence is reshaping industries from finance to medicine, and building genuine expertise means combining a thorough grounding in computer science with deep theoretical understanding of AI itself. The BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Science at the University of Birmingham does exactly that, ranked first in the UK for AI, with teaching that spans core computing fundamentals through to specialist areas like neural computation and intelligent robotics. Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to apply core computer science principles alongside a strong theoretical grounding in artificial intelligence to design and build intelligent systems. They will be equipped to use specialist AI techniques, from neural networks to natural language processing, to solve real technical and computational problems. Through a substantial personal project, students will develop the ability to design, build and evaluate significant pieces of software independently. Graduates will leave with a BCS-accredited, highly sought-after skill set, well prepared for careers as AI engineers, software developers, systems designers or cyber security analysts across the tech, finance and medical sectors.

Requirements

Kuwait: High School / Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-A'ama (General Secondary Education Certificate) is not accepted for direct undergraduate entry. Completion of a recognized foundation course (or A-Levels / equivalent qualification) is required
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall with no band below 5.5 (or approved SELT equivalent)
