Overview:

The BSc (Hons) Computer Science and Cyber Security at Loughborough University combines broad computer science foundations with specialist study of protecting digital systems and information. The course develops an understanding of how computing technologies work while examining the methods used to identify, assess and respond to security threats.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course, students will be able to apply core computing principles to the development and analysis of software and computer systems. They will understand key cyber security concepts and be able to examine vulnerabilities, assess digital risks and consider appropriate approaches to protecting systems and data. Students will also develop the ability to investigate digital evidence, apply networking and cryptographic concepts, and evaluate security issues within computing environments. Through project-based work, they will strengthen their ability to solve technical problems, communicate ideas clearly and work systematically on complex computing challenges.

Requirements

Kuwait: Completion of High School / Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-A'ama (General Secondary Education Certificate) with a minimum overall average of 75% with a min of 80% in relevant subjects.
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 5.0 with no band below 5.0 (or approved SELT equivalent).
