Overview

This course gives students a thorough grounding in both the theoretical and practical sides of computing, offered by Manchester Metropolitan University. Programming, algorithms, data structures and computer architecture sit at the heart of the curriculum, preparing graduates to work confidently across a wide range of modern technology roles.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to design, implement and evaluate software solutions using appropriate algorithms and data structures. They will understand how computer systems are architected and how networks and operating systems function together to support reliable computing. Graduates will be able to apply established development processes to build software professionally, working effectively within a team as well as independently. They will also be equipped to engage with advanced topics such as artificial intelligence and alternative programming paradigms, and will have demonstrated the ability to plan, execute and present a substantial technical project from concept through to completion.

Requirements

Kuwait: Completion of High School / Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-A'ama (General Secondary Education Certificate) with a minimum overall average of 75%, including 70% in Mathematics.
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 5.5 with no band below 5.5 (or approved SELT equivalent).
Science and Engineering with a foundation year (Computing, Mathematics & Digital Technology route)
