Overview:
Birmingham City University’s BSc (Hons) Nursing (Mental Health) develops the knowledge, professional values and practical abilities needed to care for people with mental health needs. The course combines nursing theory with practice-based learning, helping students understand how to provide safe, compassionate and evidence-informed care across different settings.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course, students will understand the principles and professional responsibilities underpinning mental health nursing and be able to apply nursing knowledge to varied mental and physical health needs. They will develop skills in assessing individuals, planning and delivering appropriate care, responding to acute and complex situations, and supporting people with longer-term conditions. Students will also develop their ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, exercise professional judgement and contribute to leadership and advocacy. Through practice learning and academic study, they will be able to connect evidence and theory with nursing practice and use research and quality-improvement approaches to support safe, effective care.

Requirements

Kuwait: Completion of High School / Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-A'ama (General Secondary Education Certificate) with a minimum overall average of 60%, 70% in Maths and relevant Subjects
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 5.5 with no band below 5.5 (or approved SELT equivalent)
A Criminal Record Check OR a letter of good conduct from the local authorities in your home country before an unconditional offer can be issued.
