Overview
Modern life makes it genuinely difficult to look after our own wellbeing, and understanding the science behind sport, health and nutrition offers real tools to change that, for everyone from schoolchildren to elite athletes. The BSc (Hons) Sport Science, Health and Nutrition at Nottingham Trent University takes a holistic approach, combining sports psychology and physiology with the science of nutrition and its role in exercise performance. Students apply their learning directly with real people through the university's Sport and Wellbeing Academy and live briefs set by partner organisations, gaining genuine work-like experience alongside their studies. The course suits students who want a broad, flexible route into the health and fitness sector, with the option to build in a foundation year or a placement along the way.
