Overview

This programme at the University of Leeds prepares students for a career caring for individuals across health and sickness in a wide range of healthcare settings, from community care to intensive care. It builds essential clinical skills alongside a broader understanding of today's complex healthcare environment, combining academic study with practical clinical placements throughout the course.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to deliver safe, effective nursing care across a range of healthcare settings and patient needs. They will be able to apply clinical, communication, and teamwork skills within an inter-professional healthcare environment, while critically evaluating evidence to inform their practice. Students will also be equipped to recognise and respond to health inequalities, and to work with sound understanding of the ethical and legal responsibilities involved in adult nursing.

Requirements

Kuwait: Completion of High School / Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-A'ama (General Secondary Education Certificate) with a minimum overall average of 85%, including 85% in Chemistry and Biology.
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with no band below 5.5 (or approved SELT equivalent).
