Overview
The BSc Nutritional Sciences course explores how food and nutrients influence human health, wellbeing and physiological processes. Students develop an understanding of nutrition from scientific and biological perspectives, while examining how nutritional knowledge can be applied to health and society.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be able to explain the roles of major nutrients and relate nutritional intake to human physiological processes. They will be able to evaluate scientific evidence concerning food, diet and health, apply relevant scientific principles to nutritional questions, and interpret information from research and other evidence sources. Students will also develop the ability to analyse nutrition-related issues critically, communicate scientific ideas clearly, and use appropriate methods to investigate questions within nutritional sciences.
