Course Description

Overview

Mastering clinical decision-making, person-centered care, and biological sciences is central to delivering high-quality healthcare to adults across acute and community environments. The BSc (Hons) Nursing with Registration as an Adult Nurse at King's College London provides a vocational, evidence-based education delivered within the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care. Accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), the curriculum equally divides academic theory and hands-on practical practice. Students learn through lectures, interactive seminars, and high-fidelity simulations at the award-winning Simulation and Interactive Learning Centre, which replicates hospital wards, intensive care units, and home care settings. Clinical placements are undertaken across world-renowned NHS partner trusts in London, such as King's College Hospital and Guy's and St Thomas', treating diverse patient populations. The course emphasizes therapeutic communication, practical leadership, complex pathology management, and research application. This program is ideally suited for compassionate, resilient, and analytical individuals who wish to develop advanced clinical skills and improve health outcomes as registered adult healthcare professionals.

They will demonstrate the capability to perform holistic physical assessment, formulate individualized care plans, deliver safe therapeutic interventions, and lead clinical responses in rapidly changing acute situations. Students acquire strong practical competencies in clinical skills, patient assessment documentation, medication administration, and simulation performance through structured hospital placements and Practice Assessment Document evaluations.
