Overview

The BA (Hons) Drama and Film brings together the study and practice of performance, theatre, cinema, and screen culture. Students explore how stories are created, performed, represented, and interpreted while developing creative, analytical, and practical approaches to dramatic and filmed work.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to demonstrate an informed understanding of key concepts, practices, and developments in drama and film. They will be able to analyse performances and films using appropriate theoretical and critical approaches, considering how creative choices contribute to meaning and audience experience. Students will develop practical skills relevant to performance and creative production while learning to work effectively in collaborative settings. They will also be able to research dramatic and cinematic subjects, evaluate relevant evidence, and communicate interpretations clearly. The course will strengthen their ability to connect practical creative work with critical analysis, enabling them to examine how drama and film reflect, question, and shape cultural and social ideas.

Requirements

Kuwait: Completion of High School / Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-A'ama (General Secondary Education Certificate) with a minimum overall average of 80%.
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 5.5 with no band below 5.5(or approved SELT equivalent).
