Overview

The BA (Hons) Education explores how people learn, how educational environments are shaped, and how teaching and learning are influenced by wider social and cultural contexts. Students examine key ideas and debates in education while developing the analytical and research skills needed to understand educational practice and policy.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to explain key educational theories and relate them to different approaches to learning and teaching. They will understand how individual, social, cultural, and institutional factors can influence educational experiences and outcomes. Students will be able to examine educational issues critically, assess relevant research and evidence, and compare different perspectives on teaching, learning, and policy. They will develop the ability to investigate educational questions using appropriate research methods and communicate findings clearly. The course will also enable students to evaluate educational practices and consider how theoretical ideas can inform understanding of real-world educational contexts, while recognising the complexity and diversity of learners, institutions, and learning environments.

Requirements

Kuwait: Completion of High School / Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-A'ama (General Secondary Education Certificate) with a minimum overall average of 80%.
UKVI IELTS (Academic) 5.5 with no band below 5.5(or approved SELT equivalent).
