Overview
The BEng (Hons) Electronic and Electrical Engineering explores the principles behind electrical power, electronic devices, circuits, and engineered systems. Students combine mathematics and scientific knowledge with practical engineering approaches to understand how electrical and electronic technologies are designed, analysed, controlled, and integrated.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be able to apply mathematical, scientific, and engineering principles to analyse electrical and electronic systems. They will understand how circuits, electronic devices, electrical machines, power systems, signals, and control technologies function and interact. Students will be able to design and evaluate components or systems using suitable analytical, computational, and modelling techniques, while interpreting technical data and experimental results. They will also develop systematic approaches to identifying engineering problems, assessing alternative solutions, and considering practical requirements when making technical decisions. The course will strengthen their ability to communicate engineering concepts clearly and integrate knowledge from electrical and electronic disciplines when developing and evaluating complex engineering systems.
