On this BSc Geology course, you'll discover how rocks, minerals, oceans, the atmosphere, and life all connect to shape our dynamic planet. Geology helps us understand some of the biggest global challenges, from finding resources sustainably to tracking environmental change and managing natural hazards. Throughout the course you'll build the practical, analytical, and research skills that geoscientists use every day to solve real-world problems.

Your bachelor of geology degree will combine classroom learning, practical laboratory work, and field-based training. This will include visits to world-famous geological sites and residential field courses in the UK and abroad. You'll also benefit from access to industry-standard facilities, including the largest Earth and marine sciences library in Europe, as well as 150 laboratories.

With a geology degree you'll learn to:
